blog post #4
I've been on twitter and using it avidly for about six years now. I mainly use twitter to communicate things between all of my friends and to keep up with different sports teams and games that may be going on. I've found it very beneficial especially when keeping up with news items and sports. I may not be able to attend a game or see something on the new, all I have to do is go down my twitter feed and ill find what I'm looking for within a few minutes. When I need to share something with a big group of friends I can do it through twitter. Twitter might be useful in my future career in many ways. I want to go into law enforcement and a big social media out lit like that is a good way to get across news we may need people to take a look at or help us with.
Digital divide can affect student success in class rooms in many ways. You may have a class where half of your students don't have access to computers or any kind of internet where your other half may and it can cause challenges to those who don't. Say you want to assign something that's online but you have to think about those who can't get to internet. Those students are at a big disadvantage. Some causes of digital divide are students whos parents might not make as much as others. Or some students may live in an area where getting technology is a lot harder. As a teacher you are going to have to adapt to things like this. If there are things you want done on the computer you may need to leave enough time in your class so that all the students can get their work done before class is dismissed.
Two academic software tools I would like to use in my class room would be a photography software and a big science software. These are two of the biggest things that will always be present in the world from here until the end of time. If you have a science software, students can learn and talk about science among themselves and classrooms and maybe even get hands on with somethings. Science is always evolving so having students evolve with it would be a great thing. Having a photography software would be great too. Place are always looking for some one with exceptional skills to take photos and make their business or what ever it is they are promoting look really good,
